The Vertebral Body Balloon (VBB) System features a low-compliant balloon material that provides controlled balloon expansion and predictable void creation for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures. The system also provides guide wire or direct trocar approach and a simple, easy-to-use inflation device.
VBB is part of a complete procedural solution for the personalized treatment of vertebral compression fractures. The a la carte offering allows for maximum economy, flexibility and precise surgical planning.
The Vertebral Body Balloon System is intended to be used for the reduction of fractures and/or creation of a voice in the cancellous bone in the spine. This includes use during percutaneous vertebral augmentation. The system is to be used with cleared spinal poly-methylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cements indicated for use during percutaneous vertebral augmentation procedures such as kyphoplasty.
