Cervical Revision Surgery

Revision surgery may be necessary in the cervical spine if fusion and/or stability is not achieved with an initial operation or if adjacent segment degeneration (ASD) occurs. Levels adjacent to a plate and allograft spacer may be fused utilizing a stand-alone spacer such as the ZERO-P® Spacer or ZERO-P VA Spacer potentially without the need to remove previously implanted hardware. An initial anterior fusion can be supplemented with additional posterior fixation with a system such as SYNAPSE System to add to stability.
