Medial and Lateral Collateral Ligament Reconstruction

Collateral Ligament reconstruction is a surgical procedure which replaces the injured or torn Medial Collateral (MCL)or Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) within the knee joint. The ligament is reconstructed using a graft that is anchored in place at the ligament’s anatomic insertion sites. The MCL and LCL ligaments act to control Valgus and Varus motions of the knee. Mitek Sports Medicine offers a variety of instruments and implants, which enable anatomic reconstructions.
