A microscopic image of the POROCOAT Porous Coating on the SUMMIT Tapered Hip System that allows for biological fixation to bone. POROCOAT® Porous Coating POROCOAT Porous Coating allows biological fixation to bone without the use of bone cement.1 With more than 30 years of clinical heritage, our proprietary POROCOAT Porous Coating is composed of commercially pure titanium sintered metal beads. This technology is available on the SUMMIT POROCOAT Cementless Stem.
A microscopic image of the DUOFIX HA Coating that combines with the POROCOAT Porous Coating on the SUMMIT Tapered Hip System which allows for biological fixation to bone. DUOFIX® HA Coating DUOFIX HA Coating combines POROCOAT Porous Coating, which allows for biological fixation to bone, with the addition of a 35 micron layer of HA coating.2 This technology is available on the SUMMIT DUOFIX HA Cementless Stem.
A microscopic image of the Radial ZTT Steps of the SUMMIT Tapered Hip System that is designed to convert hoop stresses to compression loads. Radial ZTT Steps Radial ZTT Steps are designed to convert hoop stresses to compression loads which may potentially reduce the risk of intraoperative fracture.3
An up close image depicting the SUMMIT Hip Dual Offset options that provides surgeons the ability to lateralize and help manage soft tissue laxity. Direct Lateralization SUMMIT Hip Dual Offset options provide surgeons the ability to lateralize by 6mm-8mm to help manage soft tissue laxity. The offset range is 30mm-50mm depending on stem size. This direct lateralization can enable femoral offset restoration without affecting leg length.
