DePuy Synthes Expands State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Site in Ireland to
Support Growing Joint Reconstruction Business
Ringaskiddy, Cork, June 17, 2015 – Today, DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson, a global leader inorthopaedic and neurological solutions,announced the opening of its expanded Ringaskiddy, Cork manufacturing site. This expansion creates the largest single manufacturing plant for the DePuy SynthesJoint Reconstruction portfolio, which includes more than 200 products manufactured at multiple sites around the world.
The new€53.2 million, 320,000 square foot state-of-the-art plant expansionisexpected to bring an additional 80 new jobs to the site to help meet the global demand for the company’s joint reconstruction portfolio. The jobs are supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

In addition, the new facility will feature a Medical Device Test Methods Center of Excellence laboratory to advance quality testing methods across the Johnson & Johnson family of medical device companies while also creating potential expansion opportunities for other Johnson & Johnson companies.

The Ringaskiddy, Cork manufacturing site was established in 1997.
