Palm Desert, CA - Nov. 6, 2014 – The DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson has launched GRYPHON® Anchors with PROKNOT™ Technology (GRYPHON PROKNOT Anchors), the first arthroscopic hybrid anchor solution for repair of shoulder and hip instability. The announcement was made today by DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine* at the Arthroscopy Association of North America's (AANA) Fall Course.

NATIONAL SURVEY HIGHLIGHTS BURDEN OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS IN THE US DESPITE AVAILABILITY OF EFFECTIVE THERAPIES

WARSAW, IN (October 30, 2014) – Findings from a new U.S. survey of 878 U.S. adults ages 45-75 with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee who have not had joint replacement surgery show that 95 percent of respondents avoid or make accommodations to common daily activities because of their knee pain, despite the availability of treatment options like physical therapy, hyaluronic acid injections and knee replacement. The survey also found that 90 percent of those who have had knee joint replacement said their lives have changed for the better following their joint replacement surgery.

DEPUY SYNTHES PROPRIETARY VARIABLE ANGLE LOCKING TECHNOLOGY NOW AVAILABLE TO TREAT CALCANEAL FRACTURES AND MEDIAL COLUMN FUSION PROCEDURES

WEST CHESTER, PA – Sept. 19, 2014 – Today DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson launched two new variable angle plating systems featuring its proprietary variable angle locking technology. With this technology, surgeons can adapt screw trajectory to match patient anatomy and fracture pattern and angulate screws towards specific fragments of bone. The systems are being introduced in conjunction with the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) and the International Federation of Foot & Ankle Societies (IFFAS/AOFAS Meeting) in Chicago.

REVIVE™ SE THROMBECTOMY DEVICE APPROVED FOR ISCHEMIC STROKE PATIENTS IN CHINA, SOUTH KOREA AND TAIWAN

RAYNHAM, MA – September 3, 2014 – Codman Neuro*, part of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson, announced regulatory approval from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), and the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) for the company’s REVIVE™ SE Thrombectomy Device, a next-generation self-expanding clot removal device intended to restore blood flow in patients with acute ischemic stroke secondary to intracranial occlusive vessel disease.
