DePuy Synthes Spine Introduces EXPEDIUM VERSE® Spinal System

CHICAGO – October 14, 2015 – DePuy Synthes Spine* has introduced the EXPEDIUM VERSE® Spinal System, a new all-in-one pedicle screw system. The system enables surgeons to perform multiple spinal correction maneuvers during spinal fusion surgery with a single implant type and fewer instruments, compared to traditional pedicle screw systems. The system may reduce the number of screws needed in a procedure and potentially reduce the risk of screw pullout or migration when compared to traditional screws. The EXPEDIUM VERSE Pedicle Screw is being showcased here at the North American Spine Society (NASS 2015) 30th Annual Meeting, which begins today.

DEPUY SYNTHES TRAUMA LAUNCHES NEW BIOLOGIC IMPLANT

The new biologic implant, which is available in cube and strip configurations, is both osteoconductive¹ (provides a natural scaffold for new bone growth) and osteoinductive²,³ (stimulates new bone formation). It resists migration after implantation, readily absorbs and retains bone aspirate, blood and saline, and can be osteogenic (accelerates bone growth) when combined with bone marrow aspirate.4 The implant is also highly flexible and may be compressed up to 50 percent of its original size.

CODMAN CERTAS® PLUS PROGRAMMABLE VALVE

CODMAN NEURO LAUNCHES FAMILY OF COILS FOR TREATMENT OF BRAIN ANEURYSMS

DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson, has introduced a new platform of embolic coils for the treatment of brain aneurysms, supported by an enhanced detachment system designed to improve microcatheter stability and provide an optimized detachment zone for coils .
